Komorebi Primary School is a Day Primary School located in the Northern part of Uganda with exact location at Oilango Village, Labora Sub- County, Tochi County, Omoro District, Northern Uganda.
Komorebi Primary School started in the year 2022 courtesy of Lucy Ruth Lamunu, a Ugandan based in Japan whose passion is driven by creating positive change to the vulnerable children through the approach of education.
In this year 2022, there was no school structure although the idea was already born, and Lucy’s friend known as Ono Lisa contributed shs 2,520,000 towards the inception of the school.
This money helped facilitate the building of blocks towards the commencement of construction of the classroom blocks. The school had already initially acquired about 7.5 hectares of land towards the commencement of construction of Komorebi Primary School and Football Academy.
On 10th January 2023, the school started operating with formal registration with Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) under Registration Number; 80030849615774.
The first classroom blocks had already been erected, paving way for Primary One (P1) and Primary Two (P2) respectively. Uganda Primary School Curriculum is the one being used in the school following the guide lines from Uganda Curriculum Development Center. Komorebi boasts of a Football Academy, which is expected to be the biggest facility in Northern Uganda although the facility is still incomplete for this purpose.
